Trace Albrecht

Trace Albrecht is a licensed acupuncturist, having received her medical training and Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Emperor’s College.  She is the clinic director of LA Herbs & Acupuncture, an integrative healthcare clinic in West Los Angeles.  Trace has more than twenty years of experience working with body/mind medicine as a licensed acupuncturist, cranio-sacral therapist and massage therapist.  Trace creates an environment that is conducive to relaxation, receptivity and change for her patients.  She works in coordination with doctors and other healthcare professionals to support the specific needs of patients who have complex conditions.

Trace received her cranio-sacral training from The Upledger Institute and The Milne Institute, and volunteered at The University of Miami’s Touch Research Institute during the 1990s.  She graduated summa cum laude from Emperor’s College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Trace recently received additional training at the MD Anderson Integrative Oncology Conference, as well as attending yearly training for the past four years with integrative oncology pioneer and researcher, Daniel Weber, PhD.  During the past 9 years, Trace and her partners at LAHA have developed a rigorous and dynamic continuing education curriculum for licensed acupuncturists.

Trace’s professional goals include continued expansion in her clinical practice, teaching, research, developing mentorship and supervision programs for new practitioners, community outreach and travel.

Yvonne Farrell

Dr. Farrell has been involved in helping others to restore balance in their lives for 24 years. In 1996, she graduated from Emperor’s College with a Master’s Degree in Chinese Medicine. She has been in private practice since 1997. She was a member of the faculty at Emperor’s College for 13 years. In addition to her faculty duties at Emperor’s, Yvonne was also a clinical supervisor.

Specializing in the use of the Secondary Vessels in treatment, Yvonne has been teaching channel theory to students for many years. She has developed proficiency with these systems because she feels they are very effective in the treatment of psycho-emotional and psycho-spiritual disorders.

Yvonne directs her teaching towards the empowerment of students with the hope that they will embody the spiritual aspects of Chinese Medicine and make them their own. She believes that self-cultivation & self-knowledge are essential in developing capacity as a practitioner of Chinese Medicine. To that end, she has also been on the leadership teams of many spiritual retreats and self-empowerment workshops.

In addition to teaching in the master’s programs of two schools, Dr. Farrell has been teaching CEU courses for several years. Her courses are lively  informative and clinically relevant. She is very passionate about the medicine and that is apparent in her teaching.

Yvonne received her Doctoral Degree (DAOM) from Emperor’s College in 2007. In 2009-2010 Yvonne was the Director of a team that was responsible for getting Yo San University’s first DAOM program up and running.

Although she has a general practice, her specialties include the treatment of psycho-emotional disorders or stress induced illness.

Farley Hom

Farley has been operating Bee Well Kids in Los Angeles for six years helping children and families “Bee Well” utilizing holistic Oriental Medicine to treat acute and chronic pediatric illnesses. He earned his Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. Farley is also a licensed Occupational Therapist at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He graduated from USC with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy and has over seventeen years of experience treating patients with stroke, orthopedic issues, traumatic brain injuries, cancer, HIV/AIDS, and spinal cord injuries. He has also studied acupuncture and herbs at China’s Cheng Du University. His specialties include pediatric and family medicine, orthopedic sports injuries and chronic pain.

Borna Ilic

Borna Ilic is a licensed acupuncturist who has spent more than two decades in the practice of Chinese medicine. His main interests are preventive medicine, healthy aging and longevity. Borna has been deepening his knowledge and understanding of classical Chinese medicine, but his true passion is the modern application of evidence based, approachable Chinese medicine, especially in the field of integrative cancer care. Borna earned his Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Samra University in Los Angeles and earned his Doctoral degree at Yosan University, also in Los Angeles. He received additional training from Zhejiang Medical University in Hangzhou, China. Borna has attended numerous seminars and workshops throughout his career, including extensive training in integrative oncology at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.
