Payment:

LA Herbs and Acupuncture is proud to serve our patients as a low volume office.  This means that we do not over-book our schedules (a common practice in many acupuncture clinics), allowing us to offer ample time for both new and follow up appointments.

We do our very best to stay on schedule, and your booked appointment is time reserved for you exclusively.

Because of this, last minute missed appointments represent a significant loss to our center and our practitioners, in addition to preventing another patient from taking the slot if ample notice is not given.  In order to discourage last minute cancellations, LAHA requires 24 hours notice to avoid being billed for the full price of the missed service.

Billing:

LA Herbs and Acupuncture practitioners work “out of network” with most PPO insurance policies carrying acupuncture benefits.  We contract with an outside billing service, and are more than happy to submit claims on your behalf.  Some policies may require an extra fee in order for us to bill for you.  Super-bills are also available if you prefer to submit your own claims or have a secondary policy.

Evidence of coverage is not a guarantee that your plan will cover all or even most of your visit.  Each plan is different, and may be subject to deductibles, co-pays and out of pocket expenses that impact how much is reimbursed.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept HMO policies or Medicare, as they do not allow for out of network coverage.

Unsure about your coverage?
