Stress, Inflammation & Hormones
Sunday, October 8, 2017 • West Hollywood
Join the incredible Daniel Weber for this seminar, in which we will look at how stressors that occur in daily life create a low level inflammatory response, an immune response, which impacts the endocrine system. Unremitting stress dysregulates the endocrine function, and further impacts capacity to cope. Looking specifically at the stress response and its impact on the endocrine system, we will discuss botanicals that are able to treat several of these factors simultaneously.

Spleen & Stomach: Agents of Change
Sunday December 3, 2017 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
In this course, Dr. Yvonne Farrell will explore the anatomy, physiology and psychology of change, and the foundational support for change provided by the Spleen & Stomach systems.
We will look at optimizing the environment for change by investigating the middle jiao’s part in resistance, slowing down, ideation, attention, habituation and the need for stability.
In the Pi Wei Lun, Li Dong Yuan states “once the spleen and stomach are damaged, the five turmoils will arise. Damaged by heat, the original qi loses its function, and, as a result, the limbs are cumbersome and fatigued.” In this state, change is almost impossible.
We will cover the pathways and important points on the Spleen & Stomach Sinew channels, Luo-collaterals, Primary meridians and Divergent confluences. We will also discuss the value of Pre-natal resources through the 8 Extraordinary vessels.
